Fires and cheese and determination

Jeeze it's Thursday already.  Another week slips by with only half of the things on my 'to do' list completed.

This eternal list will be the death of me.  Can't help it.  I compulsively create them and add to them everyday.
How anyone get's anything done without writing it down is beyond me.

Anywhoo.

Unlike the majority of families who managed to get away for a mini break this long weekend, we stuck close to home as I had a wedding to shoot.
We made good use of our time though.  Que photo montage...

Remember how I said she'd learn?

Boom.

Sister mastered it on Thursday night.

She was also mad determined to prove she can master the monkey bars.

I can do it too.  Just say'n.

I had other things I was going to show you but my phone is playing up and I can't get the photos off it so you'll just have to use your imagination.  I know right? So old school.

Phil has started the reno on our ugly bathroom.  No more green!  Still at the bare stud stage but it is in fact a vast improvement.
Wait, it's working now!  See?  Better.

We got our first two loads of wood sorted too.  I LOVE fires.  I intend of curling up on the floor in front of ours this winter.  When my back gets too hot I'll move away for a few minutes then will be drawn right back.  Like a moth to a flame.  Though due to my random fear of moths I vote to change that analogy to something else.  hmm.  I'm coming up empty.  Like a woman to chocolate?   Like a cat to a newspaper you're trying to read?  I'll come up with something better.
I'll stand so close that the dome on my jeans will heat up so hot that it encourages a sharp inhale of breath if it touches any bare flesh.  You get it.  I like fires.

Just like these guys like cheese.  Bastards ate all the cheese for the table at the degustation dinner last week.
But on the plus side I found a beer I actually like.  I might even order one at a bar.  No more weak ass bourbons diluted with cola or soda or something syrupy. Not that I frequent bars often.  Oh no.

I've got kids remember.  Those little social life destroyers.

I don't mind really.  I have pictures like this around my house.

'Cos I have happy kids.

I've got it.

Like a drunk guy to a pie.

That's it.  That shall be the new saying from now on.  Pass it on friends.

Happy Thursday :)
